What's in my kit?
As a MUA, we are always updating our kit and trying new brands. Here is a list of tried and true brands. These brands I reach for time and time again and leave a flawless finish on the face as well as a long lasting base.
1. MAC Cosmetics: MAC has always been know to MUAs. Their foundations and lipsticks are particularly my go to's.
2. Bobbi Brown: Bobbi Brown is MUA brand recognized for its natural and timeless makeup looks. Her products are known for being long-lasting and work for a ton of various skin tones.
3. NARS: NARS is that girlllll. Their luminous foundations you will see in so many artist kits. But my all time favorite blushes are made by them. Has the Orgasm blush been around forever? Yes! Why? Because she is tried and truuuuue. The blurring effect NARS has with their blushes is still unmatched.
4. Estée Lauder: "My mom wears that brand isn't it for older ladies" PLEASE, no. Estée Lauder is a classic brand with a long history in the beauty industry. Their Double Wear foundation is a kit essential and is the best for the sweaty gals out there. I hear the most comments on how long my brides makeup lasts when I use their foundation.
5. Make Up For Ever: This brand is renowned for its professional-quality products. If you don't need a full coverage base, they are they way to go. The skin like finish will leave you feeling like you are barely wearing anything.
6. Urban Decay: These guys are known for its bold and edgy makeup products. Whenever I have a bride that wants a colorful look I reach for their eyeliners. They have so many fun colors that are long lasting (no smudge as well)
7. Charlotte Tilbury: For the luxury gal. Charlotte Tilbury's makeup line is known for its luxurious and glamorous products. Many brides appreciate the brand for its emphasis on creating a bridal radiant and flawless makeup look. Her shade Pillowtalk is one of my go to lip liners/lipsticks for a bride who wants that perfect nude lip.
8. Anastasia Beverly Hills: Anastasia Beverly Hills is the brow queen. You may be thinking, Benefit cosmetics can give her a run for her money BUT I find Anastasia's longevity for brows better. Plus her brow powder gives you two shades in one.

Now remember that new products and brands may have emerged into the market but these are my tried and true staples. Experiment with some of these products and let me know how it goes!
